Weather:

Summer season: The temperature is ideally between -5 and 11 degrees. The climate is cool, and you can enjoy all the hidden gems of the valley.

Monsoon season: The temperature can fluctuate between -20 and 6, so you can experience extreme cold during this time. It's not an ideal time for trekking and camping. 

Winter season: The temperature is ideally between -4 and 20. You can consider a trek during this time, but it's essential to keep a check on the weather.

Railways 

You can take a direct train to Shimla to reach Spiti Valley. Once you reach the railway station, you can book a taxi and reach your destination. 

Airways 

You can take a flight to Bhuntar, which is 166 kms away from Spiti Valley. When you reach the airport, you can take a taxi and reach your destination. 

Roadways 

Spiti Valley is (well-connected) by road, but you need to be extra careful during the rainy season when there may be a possibility of landslides. Nonetheless, you can also travel by bus to the place. 

Best Time To Visit:

December To March 

It is the time when the valley is drenched in snow. You can visit small villages or experience local life with Homestay options. 

April To August 

This is perhaps the best time to visit the Valley. Though the temperatures may fluctuate, you can consider trek adventures near Spiti Valley. Also, during this time - the valley is filled with fall colors. 

September To November

The season is quite cold during this time. You will love the place if you are a nature lover, but the region can get freezing, so you must consider your tour time.
